Antonio Conte ‘interested’ in taking over at Manchester United, Paulo Fonseca set to be appointed at Newcastle, Everton eye Alexis Sanchez, Donny van de Beek wants Real Madrid move, Juventus consider Chelsea flop Kepa Arrizabalaga

The Premier League season may only be in October but that doesn’t mean that clubs aren’t planning their transfer dealings for the window ahead.

It’s just over two months until the January market opens for business and with teams reflecting on how they’ve started the campaign, it appears that a number of incomings and outgoings are already in the pipeline.

Players will also be taking stock of their situations at present with a lack of gametime or an upturn in form perhaps leading them to contact their agents ahead of a potential move.

What are the latest rumours and headlines? talkSPORT.com takes a look…

Antonio Conte

The former Juventus, Chelsea and Inter Milan boss would be ‘interested’ in taking over at Manchester United.

The Transfer Window Podcast claim Conte would consider a switch to Old Trafford should the Red Devils sack manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Conte- who has been out of a job since leaving Inter this summer – is said to motivated by a desire to prove that he is one of the best coaches around.

Paulo Fonseca

The former Roma boss is appointed the new Newcastle manager.

The Mirror claim Fonseca is in the driving seat after ex-Chelsea manager Frank Lampard pulled out of the running to replace Steve Bruce at St James’ Park.

Fonseca has been heavily linked with a move to Newcastle with some suggestions the head coach is open to the prospect of moving to the North East of England.

Fonseca is a the favourite for the hot seat as the hierarchy whittles down a list of potential successors, but he is not the only one who has been considered.

Alexis Sanchez

Everton are preparing to make a move for the Inter Milan and Chile star.

InterLive report that Sanchez, 32, is free to leave the Italian club in January.

Arsenal icon Ray Parlour laid into Sanchez last year for wanting to quit Manchester United and return to the Gunners after only a SINGLE training session.

The Romford Pele could not believe what he was hearing as Sanchez shared a video on Instagram revealing how he knew his January 2018 transfer to Old Trafford was a mistake almost immediately.

Donny van de Beek

Manchester United flop has asked his agent to secure him a move to Real Madrid, according to Spanish outlet DefensaCentral.

The Netherlands midfielder, 24, as had a nightmare since joining from Ajax in the summer of 2020, starting just five Premier League matches.

He was filmed looking visibly disappointed at seeing Fred come on instead of him during Man United’s Champions League win over Villarreal.

And he played no part in his side’s 1-1 draw to Everton on Saturday. Van de Beek only has six minutes of league football under his belt this term.

Kepa Arrizabalaga

Juventus are looking at making a move for Chelsea flop keeper Kepa next summer, report Spanish outlet Fichajes.

Kepa joined the Blues for a then club-record £72million transfer fee from Athletic Bilbao in 2018.

He has struggled under the weight of that price tag, while Senegal star Edouard Mendy has pushed the 26-year-old down the pecking order it has also alleviated a lot of pressure.

Erling Haaland

Manchester City could be handed a boost in their pursuit of the striker with reports suggesting that Real Madrid are set to miss out.

Spanish publication AS claim that City, Paris Saint-Germain or Bayern Munich are the most likely destinations for the 21-year-old.

However ESPN have added that Manchester United and Chelsea are also keen and could offer £30million a year to tie up a deal.

Haaland is regarded as one of the most talented young players in world football after netting a staggering 70 goals in 69 appearances for current club Borussia Dortmund.

There’s an acceptance that the German side will allow him to leave at the end of the season as he looks to continue his journey to be one of the world’s best.

Luis Diaz

Newcastle United are considering a move for the Porto star.

Reports from Marca believe that the 24-year-old is a target for the Magpies as they look to start their exciting new era under the ownership of Amanda Staveley and PIF.

The Colombia international is thought to be in high demand and with a release clause reportedly set at £67.4million it means that the Portuguese side could be powerless to approaches.

Given Newcastle’s newfound wealth, it’s a deal that they could look to do.

Jesse Lingard

Everton are considering a move for the attacking midfielder in January, according to Football Insider.

The Manchester United man is in the first team fold under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but has found regular first team opportunities hard to come by due to the wealth of attacking talent at Old Trafford.

Lingard enjoyed a wonderful time out on loan with West Ham United last term and the temptation to head out on loan again is bound to be strong with the 28-year-old having one eye on next year’s World Cup in Qatar.

Should the midfielder be allowed to move on then there’s no doubt that a number of top flight clubs will be trying their luck to bring the talented star in to the club.

Eden Hazard

Chelsea could make a move to re-sign Eden Hazard next summer, according to reports from El Nacional.

The Belgian international completed a big-money move to Real Madrid in 2019 after establishing himself as one of the world’s best players during his time at Stamford Bridge.

Unfortunately things haven’t gone to plan for the player after scoring just five goals in 51 appearances for the club.

Hazard is a hugely popular player in West London and if the opportunity arose to bring the player back then it’s certainly something that the Blues would consider.
