As Chelsea sack Graham Potter new manager revealed

 

After an underwhelming tenure as Chelsea’s head coach, Graham Potter has been fired. The choice was made following the Blues’ 2-0 loss to Aston Villa in the Premier League on April 1.

In September, the 47-year-old left the Amex Stadium for Stamford Bridge to succeed Thomas Tuchel, and five of his Brighton & Hove Albion teammates later joined him at the Cobham training facility.

Potter, who committed to a five-year contract with the team, had a successful first nine matches at Chelsea.

The Englishman led the Blues to just two victories in nine games after losing 4-1 against his former team. With his back against the wall, Potter suddenly found himself under intense pressure to turn around the club’s fortunes.

Graham Potter has left Chelsea FC, according to a statement from the team: “Chelsea FC would like to thank Graham for all his efforts and contribution and wish him well for the future. Graham has agreed to collaborate with the Club to facilitate a smooth transition. In his time with the club, Graham has led us to the quarterfinal of the Champions League, where we will face Real Madrid.
“On behalf of everyone at the club, we want to thank Graham genuinely for his commitment to Chelsea,” co-controlling owners Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali said. Graham is a coach and a person for whom we have the utmost respect. We are all unhappy in the decision because he has always acted with professionalism and integrity.

We will all be supporting Bruno and the team as we concentrate on the remainder of the season, together with our amazing fans. There are still 10 Premier League games to play, and the Champions League quarterfinal is coming up. To end the season on a good note, we will give every one of those games everything we have.

Regrettably, Chelsea fans are not surprised by the Potter news because they have been sceptical of his future for a while.

It has become clear that Luis Enrique and Julian Nagelsmann are the front-runners to be named the next permanent head coach of the Blues, although it is still unclear when the Englishman will be replaced.
