Bernardo Silva shows Erling Haaland how it’s done after Man City striker is left stunned by Thibaut Courtois magic

Bernardo Silva showed Erling Haaland how it’s done by finally putting the ball past Thibaut Courtois at his very best, twice.
Manchester City are firmly in charge of their Champions League semi-final second leg with two goals from Silva putting them 2-0 up on the night and 3-1 on aggregate.
The Portuguese had time and space to pick a corner after a brilliant piece of play and gave City a well-deserved opener after 22 minutes of trying.
Silva then doubled their advantage as he guided a header from a loose ball in the net after Ilkay Gundogan’s goalbound shot was blocked on 37 minutes.
Courtois had earlier denied 52-goal Haaland twice with two absolutely stunning saves that might have left City thinking it wasn’t going to be their night.
The first inside the 13th minute saw Haaland beat David Alaba to a point-blank header, but Courtois read the flight of the ball and managed to direct it onto his goalline for Alaba to clear.
Haaland was left stunned in the back of the City net, but seven short minutes later the Belgian goalkeeper astonishingly topped his first effort.
The machine-like Norwegian striker was again the target in the six-yard box, and again got his head to it, and this time placed it well past Courtois in the far corner.
However, Madrid’s no.1 was there once again to throw out his glove and somehow palm the ball round the post.
Everyone inside the Etihad may have been starting to worry, but City’s utter dominance of the first half continued with ease, before Silva was given all the time and space in the world to bag the opener before adding a second 15 minutes later.
