Chelsea and Liverpool play out boring 0-0 draw at Stamford Bridge

Furious fans have heavily criticized Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool for their lackluster performance in a goalless draw against Chelsea on Tuesday.

The match saw Liverpool field a midfield trio of Curtis Jones, Fabinho, and Jordan Henderson, with several key players missing from the squad, including Thiago, Luis Diaz, and Virgil van Dijk. Klopp also made a bold decision to drop key first-team players, such as Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Andy Robertson.

Fans expressed their disappointment with the “astonishingly poor” midfield performance on social media and called for a significant overhaul of the team in the summer.

A fifth commented: “Liverpool need a rebuild. They have great attacking options. But the midfield is awful, defence isn’t much better (due to Klopp’s tactics also).”

And a sixth wrote: “Fabinho been terrible. Henderson been terrible. Jones been terrible. That’s the whole Liverpool midfield, paint me shocked.”

Liverpool’s quest for a top-four finish in the Premier League suffered another setback after their unimpressive 0-0 draw against Chelsea, leaving Jurgen Klopp’s men in eighth place after 28 games.

They are currently seven points behind fourth-placed Tottenham, who were also held to a 1-1 draw by Everton on Monday, in their bid to secure a place in next season’s Champions League. Liverpool’s next game will be against league leaders Arsenal at Anfield on 9th April, with the match set to kick off at 4:30 pm UK time.
