The Europa League group stage is coming to an end and that means the knockout stages are just around the corner.

Clubs will play just one more fixture in their groups before the top two teams from each pool will progress to the next round.

Who will be getting their hands on the Europa League trophy this season?

Of course they’ll be joined by the eight third-placed teams from the Champions League groups but in a new format the draw will be shaped differently as the competition moves into 2022.

West Ham have already progressed to the next round, while Leicester and Rangers are also on track to go through.

Celtic, however, are already out of the competition as they will finish in third spot in Group G.

Europa League draw: Date and time

The play-off and last 16 draw ceremony will take place on Monday, December 13 in Nyon, Switzerland.

It will get under way at 12pm UK time.

Europa League draw: Who can play who?

The play-off round will see the eight Europa League group runners up face off against the eight teams who have been demoted from the Champions League after finishing third in their groups.

They’ll compete in a two-legged play-off in February.

The winner of those eight ties will face the eight winners of the Europa League groups in the last 16 in March.

Europa League Group Stage winners: Lyon, Bayer Leverkusen, Monaco, West Ham

Qualified with final standing to be confirmed: Frankfurt, Galatasaray, Lazio, Olympiakos

Europa League Group Stage runners up: Real Betis, Rangers

Champions League third place qualifiers: RB Leipzig, Porto, Borussia Dortmund, Sheriff Tiraspol, Zenit Saint Petersburg

Europa League Draw: When are the key dates?

Play-off round: Thursday, February 17 and Thursday, February 24

Round of 16 draw: Friday, February 25

Round of 16: Thursday, March 10 and Thursday March 17

Quarter final/Semi-final draw: Friday, March 18

Quarter final: Thursday, April 7 and Thursday, April 14

Semi final: Thursday, April 28 and Thursday, May 5

Final: Wednesday, May 18 (Sevilla, Spain)
