Fans have reacted as former Super Eagles and Arsenal star Nwankwo Kanu share picture of him, ex-Chelsea striker Didier Drogba & Barcelona legend Samuel Eto’o in one field.
The 43-year-old two time Africa Player of the Year finished as one of the most decorated in the players in history, counting in his trophy cabinet the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, UEFA Cup, Premier League, FA Cup, FA Charity Shield, Dutch League title and Nigerian League title at club level, in addition to Olympic gold, the FIFA Under-17 World Cup title and Afro-Asia Cup.
Kanu captained Nigeria to that Olympic gold medal, scoring the winning goal in the dramatic semi-final against Brazil.
He finished as Nigeria’s joint-highest capped player with 86 international appearances before the record was broken and surpassed by Joseph Yobo and then Vincent Enyeama. Kanu was voted the 13th greater Arsenal player of all time.
Kanu took to his Twitter handle to share a throwback Thursday picture with three African legends in one field for a charity match played in the continent back then.
