Kevin De Bruyne gets instant revenge after Arsenal ‘get away’ with penalty call

Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne scored a brilliant opening goal in the Premier League clash against Arsenal – just moments after being denied a penalty.
The hosts applied earlier pressure on the Premier League leaders at the Etihad Stadium.
De Bruyne went down inside the area under the challenge of Thomas Partey, and City made huge shouts for a penalty.
However, referee Michael Oliver waved away the claims and play was allowed to continue.
Speaking on talkSPORT, former Arsenal man Perry Groves said: “That looks like a penalty because he’s come across De Bruyne and stopped him getting to the ball. If that’s not a penalty, Arsenal have got away with one.”
Ex-City star Stuart Pearce added: “If he gave a penalty on the pitch, he would’ve stuck with it.”
Groves replied: “It’s not horrendous. But they got away with one. That’s 80 per cent a penalty.”
It was a huge moment early on in the clash, but De Bruyne was on hand to score the opener just minutes later.
The Belgian went on a solo run from the middle of the pitch from Erling Haaland’s takedown and fired in a superb effort.
City fans were sent into raptures after the goal, which could prove crucial for the rest of the match.
