Alex Wassabi has reportedly suffered an injury and could be out of his fight with KSI on August 27.
The pair were due to meet at London’s O2 Arena in three weeks’ time, however on Friday night social media was gripped by rumours that the bout is now in jeopardy.
YouTube reporter KEEMSTAR – who accurately first broke the Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury injury news late last year – is claiming Wassabi could be out of the fight.
In a video posted on Friday night, KEEMSTAR said: “Ladies and gentlemen, this is breaking news- Wassabi is injured.
“I’ve heard two different injuries, I’ve heard concussions, I’ve heard a broken hand.
“It’s coming from a source from close to Wassabi’s camp.
“I have another source close to Wassabi’s camp – this is what is happening right now.
“I have double checked, crossed by Ts, dotted my Is on this – Wassabi is injured and there is a fear right now that he won’t be fighting KSI on August 27.
“Will the event be cancelled? No.
“I can tell you for a fact the event will not be cancelled though because I talked to Misfits Boxing months ago and Misfits Boxing has always said if someone pulls out of the fight, they will be replaced.
“So I don’t think August 27 has any chance of being cancelled, but there is a chance that we won’t see Alex Wassabi.”
As yet, this is all unconfirmed with no announcement from KSI’s promotional company Misfits Boxing or broadcaster DAZN.
