Lille coach Christophe Galtier has provided an update on the fitness of Nigeria international Victor Osimhen that will delight Super Eagles fans and manager Gernot Rohr.
It will be recalled that the Lille number 7 had to make way for Loic Remy in the 23rd minute of the 3-0 win over Monaco in the Coupe de la Ligue after complaining of dizziness and was immediately taken to the Princesse Grace de Monaco Hospital.
Speaking to reporters after the game, Galtier gave reassuring news about the condition of his top scorer.
He said to Canal + : “It is more reassuring than what we had at halftime. He had dizziness and chest pain so we were a little scared.
“We have just had news and discussed with him: everything is back to normal. He is fine.
“However, I do not know if he will remain under observation here in Monaco or if he will leave with us.
“We are waiting for the medical report. I also don’t know if he will be there against Monaco on Saturday”.
Osimhen took his tally for the season to 12 goals from 23 appearances across all competitions before he was substituted.
