Liverpool defender Joel Matip could miss Sunday’s game against Manchester United, according to The Mirror.

The Red Devils are currently leading the race, following their yesterday’s victory over Burnley so that Jurgen Klopp’s side will be looking to celebrate a win over the rivals in order to return to the top of the league table.

Reds have already faced an injury crisis, with Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez being out of action due to long-term injuries.

Now the report claims, Matip is doubtful to feature in the upcoming clash as he is yet to resume first-team training. Klopp will need to see him in two first-team training sessions, then making a decision over his first-team action.
