Lucas Moura to leave Tottenham at end of season after being told his contract won’t be renewed

Lucas Moura will leave Tottenham at the end of the season, talkSPORT understands.
The Brazilian star is out of contract this summer and has been told that his deal will not be renewed.
The 30-year-old arrived in north London back in January 2018 after joining for a fee of £25million from Paris Saint-Germain.
In that time, Moura has made 218 appearances for Spurs, scoring 38 goals in the process.
One of the forward’s most memorable moments in a Tottenham shirt came in the Champions League in 2019 when he played a key role in their journey to the final.
As well as shining in other rounds, Moura bagged a stunning hat-trick during the semi-final second leg against Ajax, a feat that saw them through to the showpiece event against Liverpool.
While the final against Jurgen Klopp’s side didn’t go Spurs’ way, it was a journey that firmly wrote Moura into the Tottenham history books.
Having been a regular at Spurs, Moura has endured a frustrating campaign so far this year after starting just three matches all season, none of which have come in the Premier League.
Given that his contract will expire in June, Spurs have now decided that they’ll part company with the star, ensuring that his legacy at the club remains untouched.
