Neco Williams refuses to celebrate Nottingham Forest equaliser against Liverpool but gets kiss from Morgan Gibbs-White

Neco Williams refused to celebrate his first goal for Nottingham Forest that threatened to make life difficult for old club.
The Liverpool academy product levelled the score at Anfield with a deflected strike off of Andy Robertson.
However, it ended up being in vein in a 3-2 win for the home side, but Williams’ non-celebration was still a moment to remember.
The fullback raised his hands as he refused celebrate, but had a romantic surprise from one of his teammates.
Along came Morgan Gibbs-White to give Williams a huge smooch for his efforts, but Diogo Jota soon cancelled it out with his second goal of the game.
Forest equalised once more through Gibbs-White, but Mohamed Salah was there to make it 3-2.
The kiss was reminiscent of Gary Neville and Paul Scholes in 2010, when the former planted his lips on the latter after he scored a late winner against Manchester City.
Wales international Williams was born just over the border from Liverpool in Wrexham, and grew up in the club’s academy.
After breaking into the Reds first team in the 2019/20 season he earned a Premier League winners medal before leaving on-loan to Fulahm for 2021/22.
At the start of the current campaign he left Liverpool permanently for newly-promoted Forest in a £17million deal, and now has his first goal for the club.
