Philippe Coutinho reveals Liverpool messages and also makes transfer claim ahead of Man City title clash
Philippe Coutinho has claimed that he has received messages of support from a lot of Liverpool supporters ahead of Aston Villa’s Premier League match against Manchester City on Sunday, but he claims that he is solely concerned with aiding his new club.
The Brazilian midfielder joined Villa Park on loan from Barcelona in January, and he will be part of the Villa side this weekend.
Along with fellow Reds old boys Danny Ings and manager Steven Gerrard, looking to do his former employers Liverpool a significant favor in the title fight.
To win the title on the last day of the season, Liverpool points against Wolves at Anfield, but they also need City’s opponents to capture at least one point at the Etihad Stadium.
Coutinho told the Daily Mail ahead of the match against City:
“I only care about my new club. I want to play well for them. I have had a lot of messages from Liverpool fans on social media but I don’t look at it that much anyway. My focus is only on the games we have.”
