Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang wins LaLiga despite playing just eight minutes and touching the ball four times for Barcelona

Chelsea are approaching the end of a dismal campaign, but Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has finished the season with some silverware.
The former Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund striker is set to get his hands on a LaLiga winners’ medal with Barcelona.
His former side sealed the LaLiga title for the first time since 2019 on Sunday night thanks to a 4-2 win against local rivals Espanyol.
Aubameyang was part of their squad at the start of the season before his move to Chelsea, and a cameo off the bench may well have led him to glory.
The striker played only eight minutes in Barcelona’s 0-0 draw against Rayo Vallecano on the opening weekend of the campaign.
He amassed four touches of the ball and had a 100 per cent success rate, making three.
For a Premier League player to be deemed as part of such a squad, they need to make a minimum of five appearances.
However, across the continent this rule is not the same and Aubameyang has therefore won his first league title.
He has lifted domestic trophies at previous clubs including Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund.
La Liga will be his first league accomplishment though, and he could be set for a return to Barcelona this summer.
The forward has scored just three goals for Chelsea all season, with all of them coming in October in matches against Crystal Palace and AC Milan.
With the Blues set to sell a number of players this summer to comply with Financial Fair Play rules, Aubameyang could be one star heading for the exit door.
A comeback at Barcelona may be on the cards when the window reopens, a move that could prove a lot more successful than last summer’s switch to west London.
