Prior to the international break, Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men lost their last two outings against Wolves and Chelsea.

Leeds got their first win of the campaign against Watford at Elland Road last time out and must start finding some consistency.

Both sides have been struggling to score as freely as they’d like and with a busy winter schedule on the horizon, these clashes are vital for their survival chances.

Kalvin Phillips missed the World Cup qualifiers due to a calf injury and is looking to return

Southampton v Leeds: Team news

Ralph Hasenhuttl is without key man James Ward-Prowse who is suspended until the end of the month.

Che Adams could return after a muscle injury saw him absent in their loss to Chelsea last time out.

The Saints will likely be without defender Jack Stephens until the start of December as he remains out with a knee injury.

Leeds have been struggling with a few injuries to key players this season, with Patrick Bamford a doubt with an ankle problem.

Adam Forshaw, Robin Koch and Luke Ayling are all out.

Kalvin Phillips missed international duty this month and was sorely missed as England failed to win over Hungary, but he could return this weekend from a calf injury.

  • Leeds’ last two away league games have finished level (1-1 vs both Burnley and Newcastle), as many draws as they’d had in their previous 52 top-flight away games combined beforehand. They last drew more consecutively on the road in the Premier League in their first six such games in 1998-99.

The midfielder had appeared in 102 consecutive Premier League games for the Saints before this.
  • Raphinha has had more shots (24), created more chances (14), attempted more dribbles (37) and made more off-the-ball runs (223) than any other Leeds player in the Premier League this season.
