Thiago Silva has proved to be a brilliant signing for Chelsea so far this term with the Brazilian defender adapting to the English Premier League with ease following his move from Paris Saint-Germain.

His defensive awareness and experience has really caught the eye of many so far, but another thing worth noting is his finishing ability, as we saw in a Blues training session this week.

The veteran Brazilian centre-back showed off his talent at the opposite end of the pitch ahead of the Blues’ Premier League game against Leicester City, who sitting 3rd with 35 points in the league standings.

During preparations for the Foxes clash, Silva showing why he capable of offer more than defensive capabilities as he scored a great goal that impressive his team-mate.

The Brazilian got the ball, controlled it perfectly with his right foot before slotting the ball exquisitely into the top corner. His team-mate, Jorginho, was pictured behind the goal and was clearly very excited when the ball struck the back of the net.

The Italian midfielder was jogging on the spot with a big smile on his face after the expertly taken finish. Meanwhile, Frank Lampard’s rest of the squad are in high spirits as they put through their paces at the club’s Cobham training base on Monday afternoon.

The Blues were back out on the grass at club’s training based following their Sunday’s 1-0 win over Fulham, with the focus now turning towards Monday’s Premier League clash with Leicester City at King Power stadium.

Victory over the Foxes tonight could see Frank Lampard’s side move to within two points of the top-four and could helping them build on winning ways again.
