So ‘sad to see him leaving the club’ is a big loss Frank Leboeuf confirm Chelsea star is ready to leave club

Following his £33 million transfer from Ajax in 2020, Ziyech has mainly played up to expectations in west London, scoring 14 goals in 102 appearances.

Ziyech was eager to leave Chelsea during the January transfer window, but a deal to join Paris Saint-Germain on the final day of the window fell through.

Ziyech performed admirably at the Qatar World Cup just before Christmas, making Morocco the first African country to go to the semifinals of the competition despite his struggles at Stamford Bridge.
Although Ziyech, 30, hasn’t played much since the World Cup and hasn’t been included in Chelsea’s previous two matchday squads, there was a notion that he may help his country by returning to his former form.

Ziyech’s troubles in west London confound Leboeuf, who says he hopes the Moroccan winger finds a new team at the end of the current campaign.

He responded to an ESPN question about which Chelsea players should depart this summer by saying, “Definitely Ziyech.” The man wants to work because he is unhappy. He is the best player in the world whenever he plays for Morocco, but he is depressed and lost whenever he plays for Chelsea.

Hence, I want him to move on so he can prove to the world that he is still the Ziyech we saw when he played for Ajax.

In Frank Lampard’s first game back in charge of the team on Saturday, Chelsea fell to Wolves 1-0.

The interim manager of the Blues stated, “I believed the performance in the first half was about 70%.” It was sufficient for it to be a competitive game, and then suddenly they launched a rocket.

“There was more energy, more opportunities, and more people got into the box in the second half.” Maybe it was the emotion of missing out on a goal.

“We have just been working here for one or two days, so it’s important to grasp that and the team’s perspective.”

Notwithstanding the fact that there have been many changes, which is not an excuse, I believe the performance summed up what needs to be done. I have to learn more about it.

“When I say mindset, it’s not always a bad thing,” I said. You need to develop the habit of succeeding. Wolves deserve praise for their effort tonight; they were tenacious and physical.

“We’ll work and have fun. We’ll assume their positions and do it again. There can be a feeling that you won’t succeed. I’ve experienced it before, and as a club, we must deal with it.

Although that’s not where the club wants to be, the situation is what it is, and we must deal with it. You must arrive at a place from where you can proceed. More lifting is required than what we performed today.
