Stunning Arsenal comeback earns lifeline ahead of Premier League title-deciding showdown against Man City

Arsenal gave themselves the most dramatic of lifelines for their showdown with Manchester City by taking a late point from Southampton in a 3-3 draw.
The Gunners title hopes looked all but gone 3-1 down to the Premier League’s bottom side, but now everything rides on Wednesday at the Emirates.
That match – which will be live on talkSPORT – almost looked to be of little importance given City’s form and Arsenal twice going two goals down.
However, late strikes from Martin Odegaard and then Bukayo Saka earned a point, and it was so nearly three.
Super sub Reiss Nelson sent a shot whistling just wide during the most tense eight minutes of stoppage time of the season.
There was more drama too, with a penalty call as the clock ran out of time, but when it blew, Arsenal’s players sunk to the turf.
They may have been unaware that it’s still in their hands, though, with a point meaning if they win all of their remaining matches, they will lift a first title since 2004.
Standing in their way will be City next Wednesday, with a crucial Etihad clash now very possibly a case of winner takes all.
