Liverpool go into the match in the hope of recording their first Premier League victory of the season, following a 2-2 draw with Fulham on the opening weekend of the campaign.

It was a difficult afternoon at Craven Cottage in which Liverpool found themselves behind twice before leaving west London with a point.

During his press conference, Klopp was questioned about the the fact Liverpool have gone behind in seven of their last nine matches in all competitions and responded to the question with real irritation.

Asked how they can avoid another slow start, Klopp said: “That’s easy. That’s a silly question a little bit. By not being slow!

“Towards the end, you cannot compare that. Your life is so easy.

“After 55 games, or 50, and then you tell me that it’s a slow start? What do you want?

“What you find is a completely different situation.

“You cannot play 64 games and just be before the game, and during all phases of the game, superior.

“You have 64 games and you fight through it, somehow. Completely different.”

Klopp added: “I don’t like if you find one thing in the stats and stuff like that and you come here and tell me it as though it’s the truth, it’s not.

“If the truth were that easy, my life would be much easier. That would be really cool.”
