Super Eagles defender was full of praises for his club’ supporters after staying resolute and strong behind them in another important game to their season
Leon Balogun revealed on Saturday that Rangers fans are the best in the world in terms of supporting their team.
Balogun in an interview after Rangers’ 2-0 win over Hearts in the Scottish Cup final said the Gers faithful are better supporters than Borussia Dortmund’s Yellow Wall.
Rangers fans have been massive this season, cheering the team on in difficult situations and helping them achieve good feats.
After losing on penalties to Frankfurt on Wednesday in the final of the Europa League, the Gers fans were back to support their players as they were held to another 120 minutes of pulsating football by Hearts.
“I’ve said it a few times that until I came here, I thought the best support I’ve seen so far in my career was the Yellow Wall in Dortmund. But for me, nothing comes close to Ibrox in terms of… but I mean, this wasn’t even Ibrox, but Rangers support today was incredible,” Balogun said.

”The love you receive, the stick you receive sometimes because you know there’s so much passion involved. I wish we could just repay some of the fans who had to deal with the hard defeat. I know the players’ hearts were broken too, even with the situation (having to go through the heat) and water supply there was kind of sneaky a little bit but the (fans) are just selfless most of the time. It’s a privilege to play for a club with this kind of backing.”
