Watch Full Highlight: Arsenal 3-2 Benfica

Arsenal have booked a place for the last 16 of the Uefa Europa League on Thursday, with a 3-2 victory over Benfica in the home leg of their relocated game in Greece, in which club skipper Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored twice including a late winner.

The Gabon international put Arsenal ahead at the Karaiskakis Stadium in Piraeus following a 1-1 draw in the first leg.

Benfica levelled it through Diogo Goncalves’s a fine curling free-kick towards the end of half-time, Rafa Silva, then gave the Portuguese giants a 2-1 lead on the night when he took advantage of an error from Dani Ceballos on the hour.

The Spain poor defensive header allowed Rafa Silva to race through on goal and put the Portuguese club in front just after the hour.

Mikel Arteta’s side needed to score twice to progress into the next round and pulled one back through a low Kieran Tierney strike as the Scotland full-back marked his 50th appearance for the club in style.

Benfica looked to be managing the game well in the closing stages, only for in-form Bukayo Saka to stand a cross up to the back post, where Aubameyang nodded in a dramatic 87th-minute winner.
